Hi! I’m Anshika Verma. Luxury and Fashion is something I have always been passionate about, but I discovered that I was particularly drawn to it when pursuing Bachelors in Mass Media, majoring in journalism at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. I then went on to pursue a Masters of Arts in Luxury Brand Management & Marketing from Istituto Marangoni in Paris & Mumbai. I studied courses ranging from marketing, branding, product management, public relations to styling, photography, and creative direction realising that these fields have very diverse applications in almost all industries.
Along with my growing curiosity about how the marketing and PR world functions, I have had a strong desire to understand the different realms of styling and excel in visual storytelling. Paris offered possibilities for me to traverse beyond my college routine. I got the unforgettable opportunity to work with two luxury houses, A.F. Vandevorst and Alessandra Rich during Couture Week and Paris Fashion Week respectively.
Moreover, I worked as a digital marketing intern with a consultancy firm where I worked on assignments for lifestyle brands. New Delhi, Bombay and Paris added great value to who I am today, however, after spending my most crucial and growing years in Bombay, I can now safely call it home even before my hometown i.e. New Delhi. I am in awe of the city, the people and the chaos.
My interest in theatre pushed me to enrol myself at the Barry Johns Acting School; I also got many opportunities to be in front of the camera for still pictures as well as behind the camera as an Assistant Director and Assistant Stylist. I spent the first eighteen years of my life in New Delhi and attended Delhi Public School. I have always been a proactive student, be it within academics or even extra-curricular activities. I thrive to excel in anything I choose to explore. During high school, I not only participated in activities such as sports, Model United Nations conferences, theatre, and music but also won laurels for my achievements in these fields. I also started training in classical dancing at a very young age and enjoyed it so much that dancing became a way for me to express myself.
I graduated as a commerce student with 94% in my final year and my high school also honoured my passion for excellence with the post of the School President in 2013-14. The most significant was volunteering for the non-profit organisation CanKids to encourage young underprivileged cancer patients to express themselves through art like painting and dancing.
I welcome you to explore the last 24 chapters of my life. Meanwhile, I shall continue to write the rest of my story!
